OUSD day 1 support: deposit, withdraw, buy and sell the Open Standard dollar

OUSD went live today — the new dollar stablecoin from the Open Standard consortium, issued through Bridge with reserves at BlackRock and BNY. From today you can deposit and withdraw OUSD on four networks, buy it with mobile money, and sell it back to local currency on ZuriFi.

OUSD (OpenUSD) is the dollar stablecoin of the Open Standard, the consortium of more than 140 financial and technology companies — Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, Coinbase, BlackRock and BNY among them — that launched it this morning. It is issued through Bridge, a Stripe company, redeems 1:1 for dollars, holds its reserves with BlackRock, BNY and Lead Bank, and publishes monthly attestations. It went live on Ethereum, Base, Solana and Tempo today — and from today, all four are live on ZuriFi too.

What shipped

  • Deposit OUSD. On Ethereum, Base and Tempo your OUSD deposit address is the address you already have — same smart account on every EVM chain, nothing new to save. On Solana it is your existing Solana deposit address. Send OUSD on any of the four and it lands in one balance.
  • Withdraw OUSD. Pick the network, paste the destination, done. Withdrawals are gasless like everything else here: the wallet that sends never needs ETH, SOL or any gas token, and the fee is quoted in OUSD and deducted from the amount.
  • Buy OUSD. Straight from mobile money. The buy flow quotes a firm local-currency price at the platform rate — what you see is what fills.
  • Sell OUSD. The same flow in reverse: OUSD back to local currency at the same single rate, settled to your balance instantly. And because a dollar is a dollar, OUSD swaps against USDT and USDC at 5 basis points.

Why OUSD

Stablecoins are most useful when the institutions on either side of a payment already speak them. A dollar designed as shared, open infrastructure by the networks, issuers and banks that move most of the world's money is a strong candidate for the stablecoin that merchants, processors and treasuries converge on. Our users should be able to hold and move that dollar the moment it exists — and cash it out to mobile money the same afternoon. We wanted to be there on the first day, and we are.

OUSD on four networks: one balance, gasless to move, a firm rate to local currency in both directions. Day 1.
